DisplayBlockApps is an independent studio building apps designed to be useful, respectful, and refreshingly straightforward.
We believe good software should help people achieve what they set out to do without unnecessary barriers, distractions, or complexity. Our apps are built with a focus on respecting your time, privacy, and attention.
Our apps are built for everyday moments: saving an idea, organising a list, tracking something important, discovering something new, or simply getting a task done.
We believe software works best when it stays out of the way. That’s why we focus on creating tools that are simple to use, easy to understand, and genuinely helpful.

Why We’re Doing This
Because life admin is already enough.
Because not everything needs to be gamified.
Because your phone shouldn’t feel like it’s negotiating with you.
And because good design should make things easier, not louder.
Transparency & Trust
As an indie studio, we’re committed to transparency and honesty in everything we create. We’ll always aim to be clear about how our products work, how and why data is used, and why certain features, ads, or partnerships exist.
Wherever possible, we favour non-invasive advertising and straightforward monetisation that helps keep our apps low-cost or free, without compromising the user experience.
No hidden catches. No confusing fine print. No guessing how things work.Our goal is simple: build useful tools, communicate honestly, and create products people can trust.
There’s never any pressure to support us.
The apps will always work as intended, with no locked features or “upgrade” screens.
Support is simply a way for people who value this approach to help us keep going.

Stash.d is the first app being developed under DisplayBlockApps.
Built around the idea that the internet is full of things worth keeping, Stash.d helps you save, organise, and rediscover the things that matter to you. Whether it’s links, ideas, recommendations, inspiration, or future plans, Stash.d aims to make collecting and finding them again simple.
Like everything we build, Stash.d is being designed to be useful, respectful, and refreshingly straightforward, with a focus on user choice, transparency, and long-term sustainability.
Expected launch: End of 2026.
Why DisplayBlockApps?
Stash.d may be our first app, but it won’t be our last.
DisplayBlockApps exists because we want to build a collection of useful apps, websites and everything in between that are just plain useful or fun without the blockers we get frustrated with ourselves.
Rather than creating a single product, we’re building a home for future apps that share the same philosophy: useful, respectful, and refreshingly straightforward.
Building in Public
In the spirit of transparency, it’s worth saying that we’re still very much at the beginning of this journey.
DisplayBlockApps is a small independent studio. Sam focuses on websites and digital experiences, while Hannah focuses on apps, development, and turning ideas into reality.
We’re still finding our feet. The website is evolving, Stash.d is actively being developed, the Stash.d website is taking shape, and we’re still figuring out the best way to approach things like social media, community building, and all the other parts that come with launching something new.
Some things will change. Things will move around. Some pages will be unfinished while we work on them.
That’s all part of the process.
What won’t change is our commitment to being honest about where we are, what we’re building, and how we’re building it.
